I grew up in sunny Bangalore (India), before moving to Munich (Germany) to pursue a Master’s degree followed by a PhD. I trained in bacterial genetics and infection biology in Kai Papenfort’s lab, where my dissertation explored the post-transcriptional landscape of Vibrio cholerae infection using multi-omics approaches. I subsequently joined AstraZeneca in Cambridge (UK) as a Postdoc, developing high-throughput biochemical assays to characterise the toxicity and off-target profiles of antisense oligonucleotides and collaborating with computational teams to support machine-learning models predicting adverse events early in preclinical drug development.
In my current role as a Research Manager at the Wellcome Sanger Institute, I make a broader contribution beyond the bench by delivering cross-functional operational and strategic support that enables cutting-edge scientific research. I work with teams across four Faculties and two Programmes. I collaborate closely with the Anderson Lab, providing project-management support for both the IBD BioResource and IBDverse projects.
Outside of work, I enjoy photography and savouring local craft beers.
