Leland Taylor (USA)

I am a Postdoctoral Fellow working on a project funded by Open Targets. I study the effects of common genetic variation on molecular traits, primarily gene expression, at single cell resolution. I received my PhD from the European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) / University of Cambridge, as part of a collaborative program between the National Institutes of Health (USA) and the University of Cambridge. My doctoral research focused on understanding the molecular effects of common variants associated with type 2 diabetes and related traits. Following my doctoral studies, I worked at Calico, an Alphabet pharmaceutical company.
