Qian Zhang (China)

I grew up in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. I studied bioinformatics when I’m an undergraduate student and my master was in the field of cheminformatics. Both my bachelor and master degrees were received in Soochow University, China. During my PhD’s program in University of Queensland, Australia, I analyzed ageing and age-related traits (i.e., late-onset Alzheimer’s disease) based on genetic and genomic data. After that, I came here as a postdoc. My major interest is to use biological data to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. I’m currently working on how to use genotype data to infer the drug preference of IBD patient. For more research information, you can find me in Google Scholar.
