I grew up in Moscow, Russia and moved to the UK during my GCSEs. I went on to study Molecular Cell Biology at the University of York, where I also completed an MSc by Research. My interest in RNA biology and desire to develop computational skills led me to the Earlham Institute in Norwich, where I did my BBSRC-funded PhD specialising in refining methods for long-read transcriptomic profiling of the human brain and neural cells. During this time I developed a real enthusiasm for isoform biology and long-read sequencing, which led me to pursue a placement at Oxford Nanopore Technologies where I worked on benchmarking methods for RNA base-modification detection. This only consolidated my interest, I was therefore excited to join the Anderson lab as a Postdoctoral Fellow in 2026, where I now work with Omar on single-cell long-read RNA-seq data to study isoform-level regulation in IBD.Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, yoga, and going to the cinema. I also recently got into bouldering.
